Seminar on the Frontier Issues on Compliance Management of Legal Entity

The seminar on Compliance Management of Legal Entity was held by the Department of Management of Legal Entity on Dec. 11, 2019. The president of Beijing New Century Academy on Transnational Corporations, NATC) Professor Zhile Wang was invited to give a speech on the Frontier Issues of Compliance Management. Professor Wang is also the vice president of China Enterprise Compliance Promotion Alliance and the member of experts of UN Global Compact. The dean of Business School Professor Jipeng Liu hosted the seminar and a number of faculties in the school attended the seminar.

In the beginning of the seminar, Professor Jipeng Liu introduced development on the disciplines of the Business School and highlighted the significance of the combination of legal and business. More importantly, such a combination is not simply the notion of “legal” and “business”, but the business management of legal entity. Professor Liu emphasized the importance of the further development of the Department of Management of Legal Entity in terms of faculties, teaching, researching as well as the construction of case base.

Professor Zhile Wang then gave the speech on the Frontier Issues of Compliance Management in which the definition of compliance, classification as well as patterns were comprehensively discussed. He pointed out that the compliance management has become increasingly important not only in the market of China, but also for the Chinese enterprises’ success in the global competition. He concluded that the successful compliance management is necessary for the Chinese enterprises to resolve the management risks and create the values for the stakeholders.Wang decided that he would also launch a series collaboration with the Department of Management of Legal Entity in the perspectives on compliance management.
